Resting is recommended for 5 to 6 days following the surgery. The bandages are removed on the 4th or 5th day after the operation. Facial swelling are common after surgery and are seen on the fourth or fifth day after the face lift. Also tension, tightening and sensitivity feelings are common. This willreduce in a couple of weeks. After the bandages are removed, you can wash your hair and the healing continues without bandages.You can have regular light shower once a day. We recommend wearing a scarf at night to protect the face. The next appointment, to remove the stitches, is 10 to 14 days after the surgery.
Risks:
When you have facelift surgery and it is performed by a qualified plastic surgeon, complications are very infrequent and usually very minor. Individuals been human vary greatly in their physical reactions, and their healing abilities, and outcomes can never be completely predictable.
Complications that can occur include:
Hematoma (a collection of blood under the skin that must be removed by the surgeon)
Injury to the nerves that control facial muscles (usually temporary)
Infection
Reactions to the anesthesia
